Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Marguerite Piazza made her debut as a star at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1951. She sang every Saturday night on one of the first TV variety shows from 1950 to 1954: Your Show of Shows, starring Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca. In 1957, she began a long career as a Las Vegas headliner and international nightclub singer. Even with her demanding career, she married four times and had six children.
